Specifically, the workshop focused on the exhibition Romeo Castellucci, Andrea Mastrovito: Res gestae, which, for the “Landscape” section, closed the “Quotidiana” exhibition cycle at the Museum of Rome in Palazzo Braschi.

The contest included a prize of one thousand euros for the best text (with related publication on these pages) and an opportunity prize (with publication only) among the best finalist texts.

The prize for the best text was awarded to Chiara Gargiuli (Academy of Fine Arts in Rome) for the quality of her critical research, the remarkable scholarly rendering of her writing and her familiarity in the use of bibliographic sources, which allowed her to effectively analyze the theme of collective trauma in the artistic practices examined.

Among the finalist texts, the one by Cecilia Babolin (Roma Tre University) appeared deserving of publication, which stood out for the originality of its critical thinking and the argumentative and analytical skills with which it addressed the themes of marginality in its interdisciplinary interpretations.

The selection was carried out by the Artistic Director, curator and curator-in-residence of Quadriennale.

Rules of the “Critical Writing Workshop” contest.

Go to the article by Chiara Gargiuli

Go to the article by Cecilia Babolin

Prizes have been awarded for the “Critical Writing Workshop” contest held by the Foundation as part of its communication and education initiatives.
